Silver Screamers Director's message to the attendees of his documentary

Updated: Apr 2

Dear Members of SKY,

I would like to extend my heartfelt thanks to all those who spent the afternoon watching our matinee screening of Silver Screamers at the Bowen Theatre. What a great day celebrating older adults and all of their creative contributions to our communities. I loved the luncheon icebreaker, and the poetry, literature and music was the perfect primer to a fun screening and discussion afterwards.

I would like to share a couple of links, some photos I took, as well as a request for feedback.

First, if anyone has any comments on their experience watching Silver Screamers, or if you felt moved in any way, your feedback really does help on our grant applications. We're looking to apply for funding so we can continue bringing our film to community groups that support older adults and offering them filmmaking workshops and screenings. Feel free to email me directly at seancisterna@gmail.com

If you're into the whole social media thing, feel free to follow our journey on Facebook or Instagram:

This is of course totally not expected in any way, but if anyone would like to help "pay it forward" to help bring Silver Screamers to a Canadian retirement home, we have a tip jar. Fund raised towards bringing the film to a retirement residence or long term care home with limited means so they can have a film festival experience for their community.

Finally, here are a few photos taken yesterday of our time together.  I can't wait to take the ferry back one day soon with my family and show them around this magical place!

Thank you! And keep in touch!
