SKY and Bowen Island Municipality Launch New Free Swim Outings for Older Adults
SKY is excited to announce a new partnership with the Bowen Island Municipality Recreation Department (BIM Rec) to expand wellness programming for older adults in our community.
This collaboration grew from conversations about how we can work together to create more opportunities for movement, social connection, and healthy aging. The first step in that partnership will be a series of organized swim outings to the West Vancouver Community Centre pool this spring.
A New Wellness Opportunity
Our first swim outings are planned for April 21 and May 12, with the possibility of additional dates depending on interest. The goal is simple: create a relaxed, welcoming outing where members can enjoy the benefits of swimming, spend time together, and explore new recreation opportunities beyond Bowen Island.
