About the event
As part of the Reach for SKY! - Mobilizing Knowledge to Promote Brain Health and Healthy Aging, this presentation will discuss the importance of sleep for aging adults as well as providing practical tips for improving sleep health.
Kathy Pichora-Fuller will host the presentation and discussion.
The special guest presenter is Glen Landry.
Instruction on using hearing accessibllity technology in the theatre at 9:30 (bring your hearing aid and smart phone if you have one).
This presentation will include discussion and light refreshments.
Glen Landry PhD has studied sleep and circadian rhythm for over 20 years. He completed his PhD at SFU and completed a postdoctoral fellowship at UBC. His research has focused on sleep, aging and cognition, exploring how sleep duration, efficiency and architecture change and may contribute to cognitive decline in older adults.
