About the event
As part of the Reach for SKY! Mobilizing Knowledge to Promote Brain Health and Healthy Aging, this presentation will discuss how nutrition may be important in the connection between the gut and the brain in older adults and how healthy diets may promote healthy aging and brain health.
Parkinson’s disease and the BC Brain Wellness Program will be described as an example of a model of a holistic intervention including nutrition, exercise and arts-based programs for brain health.
Kathy Pichora-Fuller will host the presentation and discussion. The special guest presenter is Dr. Silke Cresswell.
Instruction on using hearing accessibllity technology in the theatre at 9:30 (bring your hearing aid and smart phone if you have one).
This presentation will include discussion and light refreshments.
